Passionate about Education - Strengthening minds - Ensuring the future

Pauline Hedges - Head of Policy & Representation - Surrey Chambers of Commerce

I have known Paul Edmonds for nearly 9 years through various committees and events related to our work. He has always been an enthusiastic supporter of anything creative which would engage children’s attention whilst teaching them valuable lessons about environmental issues and self discipline and being a useful and responsible citizen. We have worked together on the Spelthorne & Runnymede Education Business Partnership where Paul, as a representative of his business initiated several schemes to encourage the local youth to think about their town and the environment in general. He entered for the Surrey Sustainable Business Awards; a scheme organised by the Surrey Chambers with Business Link Surrey and the Surrey Economic Partnership and won awards in both years. I have often watched Paul in his dealings with students of all ages from 5 – 18 and seen their enthusiasm start to grow and flourish as they become absorbed in the presentation he is delivering – from apathy to involvement in a few moments.
